Rationing is an important part of any war effort. It ensures the troops have enough supplies to continue their march. Ponies all over Equestria donate food stuffs and other necessities to the cause.

Not so much from the Bat Ponies, unfortunately. With their affinity for caves, the Bat Ponies of the aptly named 201st Battalion take to stockpiling their exotic fruits in small, hidden bunkers all over the countryside. This invariably leads to a lot of home brewed alcohol. With their talent for it, any time one of these caches are recovered is cause for celebration amongst the medical corps, as alcohol is a valuable disinfectant and coolant. That doesn't mean the bats of the 201st are particularly happy with their supplies being taken away by the state, "We'll just brew some more!", they say.
